NEW HAVEN President Donald J. Trump Wednesday declared that last summer’s Tropical Storm Isaias represented a disaster for Connecticut, enabling the federal government to provide financial assistance to municipalities and some nonprofits.
“Federal funding is available to State, tribal, and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by Tropical Storm Isaias in the counties of Fairfield, Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London, Tolland, Windham and the Mashantucket Pequot Indian Tribe and Mohegan Tribe of Indians,” officials said in a release. “Federal fundin
