However, Mohd Yusrie Mohd Zaini’s sentencing was deferred to Jan 14 next year following an application by the prosecution. Mohd Yusrie made the plea before Sessions Court Judge Abu Bakar Manat. ADVERTISEMENT Mohd Yusrie is accused of committing sexual offence against the minor by raping the girl between 8.30am and 9am on Nov 25 this year in the bushes in Inanam. The offence under Section 14(a)of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 (Act 792) provides for a jail term of up to 20 years, and whipping, on conviction.
