Kuala Lumpur: Speculation is rife that Malaysia may unveil a ‘secret weapon’ in the second round of the 2022 World Cup/2023 Asian Cup qualifiers to be held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), next month.
Word is that Dion Cools (pic), whose father is Belgian and mother Malaysian, is set to don the Harimau Malaya jersey at the qualifiers.
Who’s he, you ask? Well, Cools, 24, is a 1.85-metre tall right-back from Danish Superliga side FC Midtylland, who had featured in the Champions League competition.
