BAHRU: Police have arrested five male teenagers for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old schoolboy in front of a school in Taman Daya here.
Johor Bahru Selatan district police chief ACP Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain said the teenagers, aged between 15 and 17, were nabbed on the day of the incident on April 8, after the victim lodged a police report at the Setia Indah police station here.
In the report lodged at 10.45 pm, the schoolboy claimed that he was beaten up by five unknown teenagers when he was talking with a friend in front of the school.
JOHOR BARU: A 25-year-old man was injured after his car collided with an ambulance at an intersection here on Friday (April 16).
Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain said the incident took place at about 1pm at KM5 of Jalan Bahru - Kota Tinggi.
“The ambulance driver was believed to have failed to stop the vehicle at a traffic light.
“The private ambulance, which was carrying a patient, was coming from Kota Tinggi while the car was from the Jalan Dato Sulaiman direction, ” he said in a statement on Friday.
He added the car driver suffered injuries following the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at the emergency unit of Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA).

JOHOR BAHRU: A baby girl believed to be around 14 days old was found outside the entrance of a private hospital in Jalan Abdul Samad here last night.
South Johor Bahru district police chief ACP Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain said the baby was found by an employee at the hospital lobby at around 8.45 pm after hearing her cries.
“The man informed the head nurse of his discovery and she conducted a check on the baby, who was fully clothed but without any identification documents,” he said in a statement here today.

JOHOR BARU: A man was found dead with stab wounds in front of his house in Kampung Desa Makmur here.
Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain said that the police received a report at about 8.25am on Friday (April 2) about the discovery of the body of a man in his 20s.
“A slash wound was found on the victim’s neck while a stab wound was found on his right rib.
“The police have also recovered a paper knife cutter as well as pieces of a knife blade at the location, ” he said in a statement Friday (April 2).
