KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court has allowed the statements of the late Datuk Ewe Swee Kheng as recorded by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to be accepted in Lim Guan Eng’s corruption trial.
KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz was the one who had introduced a businessman, who turned out to be a key figure in Lim Guan Eng’s corruption trial, to the former Penang chief minister, the Sessions Court heard.
The Sessions Court here on Tuesday (Nov 30) heard former Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng’s defence lawyer allege that the late Ewein Bhd founder Datuk Ewe Swee Kheng’s final recorded statement was fabricated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and therefore is not admissible as evidence in the trial.
KUALA LUMPUR: The lawyer of former Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is challenging the admissibility of the statements of a key witness, which the prosecution seeks to use as evidence in his corruption trial in a Sessions court here.
