KUALA LUMPUR: Former Felda chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad has been sentenced to six years jail and fined RM15.4mil by the High Court.
This comes after he was found guilty by the High Court of nine counts of graft involving more than RM3mil relating to a hotel purchase in Sarawak.
Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali convicted Mohd Isa of the charges here on Wednesday (Feb 3).
In his decision, Justice Mohd Nazlan said Isa s defence had failed to raise any doubt in the prosecution s case against him. The defence by the accused is an afterthought, inconsistent and merely a denial without justification, he added.
