KOTA TINGGI: An excavator driver was charged with killing his wife and burying her remains at an empty field in Bandar Penawar earlier this month.
No plea was recorded from Mohd Hanafi Patahur Rahim, 43, who was brought to the Kota Tinggi court complex here before magistrate Rashidah Baharom yesterday.
The accused was said to have killed his 38-year-old wife Noor Hasliza Alias at a house along Jalan SS 2/4 in Taman Sri Saujana here on March 1 at about 3.30am.
The charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
Rashidah fixed April 18 for next mention, pending the chemist’s and forensic reports.
KOTA TINGGI: A 43-year-old excavator driver has been charged at a magistrate’s court here with murdering his wife.
Mohd Hanafi Patahur Rahim is accused of murdering his wife Noor Hasliza Alias, 38, at a house on Jalan SS 2/4, Taman Sri Saujana here at around 3.30am on March 1.
He has been charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
No plea was recorded when he was brought before magistrate Rashidah Baharom on Tuesday (March 16).
The court then set April 18 for the next mention of the case pending chemistry and forensic reports.
Hanafi was later brought to the Sessions Court where he pleaded guilty to four charges of possessing illegal firearms.
