KOTA KINABALU: Tempasuk assemblyman Mohd Arsad Bistari has lodged a counter report over an alleged cheating case he was implicated in, which supposedly happened in 2019.
He said the allegations over the incident, posted on the HELLO Kinabalu Facebook page, which mentioned him as the person behind the cheating case involving two others, was baseless and false.
“I have lodged a police report on the matter and also engaged a lawyer to consider possible legal action against the person making false accusations framing me and tarnishing my image, ” he said on Saturday (April 24).
In the Facebook post, Arshad was alleged to be the person who had cheated a couple, who were the directors of a sand mining company, by, among others, removing them from the board of directors and giving a portion of their company shares to someone else without their knowledge.
