Four dozen people from across the country were on the bus operated by Las Vegas-based Comedy On Deck Tours when it veered into a dirt embankment, over ruts and rocks, and hit Joshua trees on Jan. 22. At one point, it rode the face of a small hill and was airborne before coming back on to the road and flipping on its side, according to records.

(KTNV) — The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona has been conducting undercover sting operations around Mohave County for the past several years. The operation targets individuals who are using the internet to lure minors for sexual exploitation. Since these operations began, 33 individuals have been arrested. In an effort to promote transparency, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office would like to update the community of the outcome of some of these arrests. Jay Lawler, 47 of Laughlin, was arrested on August 20, 2019 for Luring a Minor for Sexual Exploitation (under the age of 15), Attempted Commercial Exploitation of a Minor (under the age of 15), and Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor (under the age of 15), all felonies. Two former Public Safety Personnel Retirement System board members violated the state s Open Meeting Law by disclosing confidential information last year, but they will not be charged because of mitigating circumstances, according to a prosecutor.  Will Buividas, a Phoenix police officer, and Mike Scheidt, a Tempe firefighter, publicly disclosed discussions among PSPRS board members and legal counsel during a PSPRS executive session meeting, the prosecutor wrote.
