In an official release, the state government stated, An interactive session, Alaap Aru Alochana (talks and discussion) by the CM with intellectuals and leading persons of minority community will be held on (Sunday) at Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara.
Taking the decent family planning talks forward, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will on Sunday discuss the need for two-child norm with Muslim intellectuals .

GUWAHATI: The State Cabinet on Wednesday formed a ministerial committee to monitor the implementation of various decisions that it takes from time to time.
The committee headed by Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary has Agriculture Minister Atul Bora and Education Minister Ranoj Pegu as members.
The State Cabinet takes several important decisions from time to time. However, some of the decisions seldom see the light of the day. The departments concerned leave the decisions unimplemented when they face problems while implementing them. The Cabinet also doesn t pursue its unimplemented decisions any further.

GUWAHATI: Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday allocated the finance portfolio to the lone woman member of his cabinet Ajanta Neog, making her the first female finance minister of the state. In the last NDA government, Sarma had held this portfolio.
Sarma kept the departments of home, personnel and public works and any other departments not allotted to any minister with him. Neog will hold the additional responsibility of the social welfare department. Ally AGP’s Keshab Mahanta was given the crucial health department amid the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic after Sarma himself had successfully carried out the responsibilities of this department last year. Mahanta will also be in charge of science and technology and information technology departments.

New Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma assigned portfolios to his cabinet on Tuesday, a day after he was sworn in. Mr Sarma retained PWD from the last term, as also Home, Personnel and other departments not allotted to any other minister of his cabinet.
The council of ministers comprises 11 from the BJP, two from alliance partner AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) and one from the UPPL (United People s Party Liberal).
