A Delhi Court reserved orders in the bail application filed by AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair, who was booked for promoting enmity among religious groups through his tweets.
The Supreme Court ordered that the interim protection granted to Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair by the top court in the case registered against him by Uttar Pradesh Police will continue until further orders.
The journalist was arrested by the Delhi Police on June 27. After the SC granted him bail in a case filed in UP, the Lakhimpur Kheri police sought his custody.
The journalist has been booked for describing three hate speech accused seers as ‘hatemongers’. He will now be moved from Tihar Jail to a Sitapur prison.
