Gunmen believed to be kidnappers have shot dead a man, Hussaini Kure, during an attack on Yewuti village in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory. It was learnt that father of the Vice Chairman of the Area Council, Alhaji Mohammed Yakubu, a pregnant woman and five others were also abducted. A resident told Daily Trust that around 12am, the gunmen in their large numbers wielding AK-47 rifles invaded three houses, including the house of the father of the vice chairman, Suleiman Idris, and whisked him away alongside six other villagers.
