Police Investigate Hate Crimes At Mosque And Church In Brooklyn

NYPD’s Hate Crimes Unit is investigating two vandalism incidents at religious institutions in Brooklyn this week.
Parishioners at St. Athanasius Catholic Church on Bay Parkway discovered Friday that an enormous crucifix was torn down from the church grounds and an American flag on the rectory was burned, police said.
“We are deeply saddened to inform you that the Cross on our Church property was vandalized last night,” the church posted on its Facebook page. “This exhibition of violence and religious hatred is very disturbing. This is definitely an offensive act not only to our Parish but to the Catholic Church! We ask our political leaders to act on the issue of religious hate crime ASAP! This is unacceptable!”

ISLAMABAD: While hospitals are on the verge of saturation, the Covid-19 situation in the federal capital is worsening with each passing day.
The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) has exhausted its capacity and patients even have to wait at the emergency centre to get a bed.
Pims, which is a tertiary care hospital and gets emergency patients from across the country, has started referring emergency patients out due to lack of beds.
ISLAMABAD: The twin cities saw a rise in the number of casualties as seven more people lost their lives to Covid-19 on Thursday while another 427 people contracted the virus. No one was discharged from hospitals after recovery in the last one week and the positivity rate rose to 5pc.
Four deaths – two males and two females – were reported in the capital in the age group of 80-89 and 60-79, officials of the capital administration said, adding the deceased were residents of I-8, Tarlai and G-15. The address of one of the deceased persons is still not known.
Patients who passed away in Pindi were identified as Manzoorun Nisa, 74, a resident of Gulistan Colony. She was brought to Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU) on March 3; Isma Ahmed, 30, a resident of the city area, was admitted to Holy Family Hospital on March 10, and Mohammad Younas, 74, a resident of Dhoke Ghangal, admitted to Bilal Hospital on March 10.

As per the reports, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and her fiancé Mahmood Choudhry are all ready to get married on 29th January, the ceremony would take place at Bilawal House, Karachi.
Moreover, a representative from Bilawal House disclosed that Bakhtawar’s wedding events would be starting with Milad on 24th January which would be followed by a mehendi event on 27th January.
The Nikkah will be held on 29th January, whereas, the baarat will take place on 30th January. All the wedding festivities would be taking place at Bakhtawar’s own residence.
The accident occurred in the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal police station.
According to the injured victims, the family was on their way back to Jalloo village. The deceased were identified as Mussarat Bibi, Jameela Bibi, Rukhsana Bibi, Zainab Bibi and her eight-month-old daughter Marwa.
Upon receiving information about the accident, rescue officials reached the spot and shifted the deceased and injured to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital from where a woman and her two children were taken to Rawalpindi due to their critical condition.
Hassanabdal police have registered a case and started investigation.
Meanwhile, 10 people were injured when a passenger van they were travelling in fell into a water channel in the jurisdiction of Jand police station.
