10 Security Force Members Killed in Sar-e-Pul, Uruzgan
At least ten security forces members were killed and 11 others were wounded in separate attacks in Sar-e-Pul and Uruzgan provinces, local officials said.
The first incident occurred in the Gosfandi district in Sar-e-Pul province on Tuesday night, said Asadullah Khuram, a member of the provincial council, when the Taliban attacked a security outpost.
“Six Taliban were also killed in the clash,” he said.
However, the local officials and Taliban have not yet commented over the attack.
Later, at least four security force members were killed and three more were wounded in a car bomb attack on a security outpost in the city of Tarin Kot in Uruzgan province in the early hours of Wednesday morning, provincial governor Mohammad Omar Shirzad said.

Three people have been killed and 13 others wounded in two separate bomb explosions in Afghanistan, the latest in a string of bomb attacks in the militancy-hit country, authorities said Wednesday.
In the capital city Kabul, two police officers were slightly wounded when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) struck a police pickup truck in Police District 15 Wednesday morning, Kabul police spokesman Ferdaus Faramarz told Xinhua.
The IED was likely to be detonated by remote control and a Criminal Investigation Department team of Kabul police was investigating the case, he said.
In southern Uruzgan province, two police officers and a civilian were killed and 10 civilians, and a policeman wounded in a similar incident on Tuesday night, according to the provincial governor.
