KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan’s Youth vice-chief Terence Au, also the Kota Kinabalu division vice-chief, has been named to replace Mohd Ismail Ayob, who quit as party’s youth chief recently.
Putatan Wira Warisan Chief Mohammad Firdaus Diun urged the Local Government and Housing Ministry to prioritise People’s Housing Project (PPR) homes for youths.
He suggested that 40 per cent of PPR home ownership be prioritised for youths in view of the rising costs of living.
“This situation is increasingly pressing (for the youths), especially those who have just started a career and have a family,” he said in a statement, Wednesday.
He also urged the Ministry to carry out a more orderly development of PPR housing areas in Sabah.
“(The Ministry) needs to ensure that development is well thought-out and centralised, in which the constructed PPR could establish a local economy from having a housing (layout) that is compact and organised,” he said
