Right now, arthur is approaching cape cod, having stayed far enough at sea to miss most of the Atlantic States on its trip north. When it hit North Carolina overnight, it became the first category 2 hurricane to make landfall in the u. S. In nearly six years, though it didnt cause as much damage as was initially feared there.
