KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram is expected to appear personally in the High Court here on June 3 to argue against Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor’s application to remove him as the lead prosecutor in her corruption trial involving millions of ringgit of alleged bribes, the prosecution said today.
Sri Ram is a former Federal Court judge who became a private lawyer upon his retirement from the judiciary, and is leading the prosecution in Rosmah’s ongoing trial over an alleged bribes-for-contract deal.
KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has fixed May 31 to hear two discovery applications by Datuk Seri Najib Razak to obtain 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB)-linked documents involving investment bank Goldman Sachs and Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz.
The former prime minister filed the first of the two applications on March 24 when he filed a notice of motion to compel the prosecution in his RM2.28bil 1MDB trial to disclose banking documents linked to Zeti, the former Bank Negara governor, on claims that her family received monies from fugitive financier Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low.
On April 5, Najib filed the second discovery application for a confidential settlement agreement between Malaysia and US-based Goldman Sachs Group in 2020.

Kuala Lumpur: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s bid to acquire 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) related documents involving former Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz’s family and the United States investment bank, Goldman Sachs, will be heard at the High Court here on May 31.
Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah set the date after Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohamad Mustaffa P. Kunyalam informed the court that the prosecution needs more time to reply to both discovery applications filed by Najib’s defence team.
