Sue Adams, volunteer director of the Whistler Chamber, Audain Museum and Whistler Arts Counil, won Citizen of the Year. I d like to congratulate other nominees and recipients tonight, she said to the sold out crowd. I truly share this with so many people, and so many of you are in the room. Thank you for inviting me to share with you in the various good works you do in the community. I learn so much from every single one of you every day, so thank you for helping me to grow and do the things I do.

The finalists have been announced for the Whistler Excellence Awards, a new awards program that joins together some of the community s most prestigious local awards in one gala event.
Citizen of the Year, Business Person of the Year, the Business and the Arts award and others will be presented on July 6 at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. The Whistler Excellence Awards are presented by the Whistler Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Whistler, the Whistler Arts Council and the Whistler Centre for Sustainability.
