Dr Erin Lloyd Jones talk mainly focused on the lost excavations of Moel Hiraddug, Dyserth

THE Llandyrnog and Llangwyfan Local History Society members enjoyed a captivating virtual talk taking them on the trail of some missing skeletons via the history, mystery and findings of six hillforts not too far away from the villages. During the Zoom call in February, Dr Erin Lloyd Jones discussed discoveries that she came across whilst researching her PhD, focussing in particular on the lost excavations of Moel Hiraddug, Dyserth in her talk. Erin, who now lives in Bodfari, grew up in the Ceiriog Valley. She volunteered at Chirk Castle as a teenager and completed her first degree in Archaeology and History from Chester College of the University of Liverpool.
