Perhaps realizing they are being filmed, the test driver activates the Hummer EV s Crab Mode and starts dancing for the camera, using all four wheels to move into the next lane. The Crab Mode is designed primarily for use off-road as it allows the Hummer EV to maneuver around obstacles more easily.
But, as this video shared on Instagram shows, it can also come in handy on the highway when you need to change lanes. This could become a common sight on highways when deliveries for the Hummer EV Edition 1 start later this year. Like the model we recently saw doing powdered donuts in the snow, the prototype is missing some design elements such as the wheel arches, side skirts, and chrome exterior trim.
