Windows Hello webcams are relatively rare outside of laptops—not even Microsoft sells one. We've rounded up several PC cameras that do support Windows Hello, so you can add facial-recognition login to your PC.
Right now, you can save on webcams from both Microsoft and Logitech. The second-gen Google Nest Mini is also discounted with a smart plug for a limited time, along with the Roku Streaming Stick 4K and Samsung Galaxy S and Note screen repairs.

Microsoft to reportedly unveil a dedicated app for its Modern accessories
Apr 27, 2021 11:22 EDT with 0 comments
Earlier this month, Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop 4, and alongside it a whole heap of its Modern accessories including the Surface Headphones 2+, the Modern USB Headset, the Modern Wireless Headset, Modern USB-C Speaker, and the Modern Webcam. You can read about these accessories in detail here. Most of these are Teams-certified and come with a dedicated Teams button as Microsoft designed these Modern products with the current work-from-home situation in mind. And it s also a subtle way to promote Teams.
A new report today suggests that the company could also be working to launch a new dedicated application designed to customize and control these Modern accessories. Below we have the leaked screenshots of what appears to be the home screen of the alleged upcoming Modern accessories app. (click to enlarge)

Specialized webcams that support Windows Hello are still, surprisingly, rare. Microsoft’s secure-login system using fingerprint, biometric, and facial recongnition technology is, after all, a unique feature of Windows 10. It makes sense users would want to pair a desktop PC or older laptop with a Windows Hello-compatible camera in order to get its convenient security benefits.
You might think that Microsoft’s just-announced Modern Webcam would be an option, but, alas, it offers no Windows Hello support! That omission is even weirder given that Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 10 21H1 release prioritizes external, Windows Hello-enabled webcams over the integrated laptop camera. It seems like Microsoft missed an opportunity that other camera vendors snapped up.
