More positive cases of COVID-19 are popping up in the community of Watrous.
While there is no word yet on how many cases are in the community specifically, but there are 26 active cases in central east one zone.
Mayor of Watrous John Gunderson told
northeastNOW the town is coming together to limit the spread of the virus.
“Some of our local businesses are taking the initiative for the safety of their employees and for their customers, to temporarily close their doors,” Gunderson said. “Hopefully that is not too long of a time period.”
Many businesses are still able to offer curbside pick-up at this time.
