(KFVS) - The Mobile Markets Farmers to Families announced their upcoming food distribution event locations. Upcoming locations and dates include: Grayville - March 11 Wayne City – April 10 As part of the Coronavirus Farm Assistance Program, it was announced on April 17 that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) would be exercising authority under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act to purchase and distribute agricultural products to those in need.

CVUSD agrees to a nearly $300K settlement with former superintendent The Coachella Valley Unified School District reached an agreement on a settlement with former superintendent Dr. Maria Gandera. Gandera resigned as CVUSD s superintendent on In a statement, Gandera wrote that she is resigning to focus on family. CVUSD s board of education approved a settlement with Gandera earlier this month. News Channel 3 has obtained the agreement on Friday, which reveals that Gandera will receive $259,000 from the district within 30 days of Feb. 4. The market’s primary focus is to remove the barriers that families often face when accessing fresh produce, such as cost and transportation. The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on the SouthCoast in terms of food insecurity, and United Way has made every effort to support members of the community during this difficult time. Get our free mobile app United Way of Greater New Bedford is hosting Winter Mobile Markets to distribute winter food items that include Blount frozen soup, pasta, stuffing, and more. Markets begin at 5:30 pm and go until 7 pm or until all packages have been distributed. All Greater New Bedford residents are eligible to receive this support.
