STOCKTON Heath s Kim Jennett performed a rock version of R.E.M s Losing My Religion in front of millions on Saturday. The former Bridgewater High student appeared on The Voice UK at the weekend which led to viewers taking to social media to say she was amazing and totally nailed it . Coaches Anne-Marie, Olly Murs, Will.i.am and Tom Jones were also visibly impressed by her powerful vocals during the blind audition but none chose her for their team by spinning around on their chairs. Speaking after the performance, Kim said: Yeah, bit gutted. I gave it my all. I’ve just got quite unique voice, maybe that wasn’t what they were looking for.
A STOCKTON Heath singer is appearing on the new series of The Voice UK this Saturday. Former Bridgewater High student Kim Jennett will be performing among the second set of blind try outs after last weekend s opening episode. Warrington continues to be well represented on the ITV talent show – featuring will.i.am, Tom Jones and Olly Murs – as former St Gregory s student Mo Jamil won the televised competition in 2017. His housemate Max Vickers also reached the semi finals. From her solo career to her work with blues rockers, Voodoo Blood, Kim has been a part of Warrington s music scene since she was a teenager.
