Durban - THREE days ago the provincial Department of Education received R413 million from National Treasury and a further R700m in the third Adjustment Appropriation Bill of 20/21 in the legislature.
However on Wednesday it was reported that MEC Kwazi Mshengu had written an urgent plea to Premier Sihle Zikalala for R377m.
This notice was shared by unemployed qualified teachers on social media and while it stated that the routine maintenance was until Monday, users of the KZN Qualified Educators App have been redirected to an equivalent web portal until the mobile version was running.
Teachers job app swamped by users

Durban – THE KZN Qualified Educators App was rendered dysfunctional after just over 30 000 applications and supporting documents were uploaded using this app and impacted the storage capacity of its server.
This was according to Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu and his head of department Enoch Nzama in a written legislature reply to questions by the DA.
