I get chill bumps like literally thinking about all the stuff that women are doing. Lets talk. Live in the cnn newsroom. And good morning. Im carol costello. Thank you so much for joining me. We begin this hour with Hillary Clinton. Shes now facing a sharp decline in the polls, falling below the 50 mark for the first time during her campaign. One possible reason, the seemingly never ending scandal involving personal email she used while secretary of state and reports that she wiped her server clean. While clinton is addressing the issue head on, it appears to be testing her patience. My personal emails are my personal business, right . So thats all ki si can say. Did you try to wipe the whole server . I have no idea. You were the official in charge. Did you wipe the server . What, like with a cloth or something . I dont know. You know how it works digitally. I dont know how it works digitally at all. We turned over everything that was work related, every single thing. Nobody talks to m
Stage. Please welcome the candidates. Reporter the first forum wasnt technically a debate but felt like a preview. On monday night, 14 president ial hopefuls for the republican ticket took the stage at the college in New Hampshire. The candidates discussing their policies. Some using their oneonone time with the moderator to dole out punches against democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton. She lied about benghazi. She has, as well lied about her servers and the kinds of information she had on her server. These go to the core of her character. Reporter senator Lindsey Graham positioned himself as the best to take on the clintons. I have been dealing with clintons for 20 years. Im fluent in clinton speech. When bill says i didnt have sex with that woman, he did. When she says i will tell you about building the pipeline when i am president means she wont. When she tells us trust me you got all the emails you need, we havent scratched the surface. I understand this crowd. Can beat them. If
Where u. S. President barack obama starts the final day of his africa trip. On his agenda an address to an assembly of the African Union, the first u. S. President to do so. On monday he met with the ethiopian Prime Minister. They discussed the civil war in south sudan. During a joint News Conference they clashed over the issue of freedom of the press, but mr. Obama praised ethiopia for its efforts in antiterror operations against militants. The contribution to the African Union in somalia have reduced areas in al shababs control. Groups like them offer terror and dree struxevux and have to be stopped. They spoke out about the nuclear deal with iran. Mike huckabee who is a republican president ial hopeful caused a lot of controversy when he the linked the deal to the holocaust. This president s Foreign Policy is the most feckless in american history. He is so naive he would trust the iranians and he would take the israelis and embassybasically march them to the door of the oven. He is
Campaign. He of course is from neighboring vermont and he spent so much time campaigning for the New Hampshire primary. It is clear his liberal and populist message is resonating with a lot of democratic voters. It is important to note she is still viewed favorably by 72 of democratic primary voters there so they could just be listening to Bernie Sanders for now. How is her campaign dealing with this . Well Hillary Clinton has said again and again that she expected a tough contest. Im not sure she expected to be this tough so soon. Polls like this simply fuel conversation about Vice President biden. Perhaps other democrats jumping in to this campaign. So this is why the Clinton Campaign started running the ads today in iowa and New Hampshire. 2 million worth, trying to remind voters of her life story and her campaign message. She is also going after republicans much more aggressively trying to show democrats that she is actually a fighter. But it is really unclear if all of that will b
Shes reaching out to black voters by addressing the National Urban league in fort lauderdale, florida. Lets take a look. Asking ourselves, what more can i do in my life to counter hate and injustice . How can i make our country a better, fairer place . Let me be clear. I think all of us need to do that kind of introspection. But those of us who have not experienced systemic racial inequities, we have an extra obligation. We need to do a better job of listening when people talk about the seen and unseen barriers they face every day. We need to practice humility. Rather than assume that our experiences are everyones experiences. [ applause ] and, yes, we need to try as best we can to walk in one anothers shoes, to imagine what it would be like to sit our son down and have the talk. Or if people followed us around stores or locked their car doors when we walked past. That empathy, thats what makes it possible for people from every background, every race, every religion to come together as
