Study suggests mandating Covid-19 vaccination for nurses not the answer

As part of the study, a survey was conducted with almost 2,000 health and social care staff in the UK. Participants were asked to rate on a scale of one to four how much they agreed with the statement: I feel/felt under pressure from my employer to get a Covid-19 vaccine. The results showed that the more people agreed about feeling under pressure, the more likely they were to turn down the vaccine. Alongside the survey, interviews were conducted with 20 health and care workers and these also suggested that placing staff under pressure to vaccinate may increase intention to refuse the vaccine .
