If modern science conceived of a way to “pluck” unwanted fears, thoughts, and preferences from your mind, is that that something you would be interested in? It sounds impossible, but a new study on non-conscious brain stimulation may just make it a reality. Via a combination of artificial intelligence and brain scanning technology, scientists in Japan say they’ve discovered avenues to remove specific fears, boost confidence, and even alter individual preferences.

A new study conducted by scientists reveals a certain method to increase self-confidence and eliminate fears among people suffering from phobias and anxieties.
The known technique will zap your brain so experts can monitor how it functions, especially when people are confronted with their fears.
How Decoded Neurofeedback Works in a Patient?
In a report by Joe Pinkstone of Daily Mail, the method can be used to cure anxiety, phobia, and other psychological conditions. It also allows the patient s brain to function, improving a person s courage over the things that he/she does not want to encounter.
Scientists have developed a method which changes how a person s brain functions to boost confidence and eradicate fears.
It is believed the technique may have the potential to treat psychological conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), phobias and anxiety.
Dubbed Decoded neurofeedback , the technology is still in its infancy and while Japanese researchers have found it works, it is not effective for everyone.
The team have therefore published their findings in the hope other experts can help improve the procedure.

Computer enhanced false-colour Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI) of two mid-sagittal and one axial (cross sectional) sections through the head of a normal 46 year-old woman, showing structures of the brain, spine & facial tissues. Profiled features of the main part of the brain include the convoluted surface of the cerebral cortex, the corpus callosum, pons & medulla, structures of the brainstem, which are continuous with the spinal cord. The cerebellum, the centre of balance & coordination, lies to the right of the brainstem.
