Philip Lee Koppelman, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023, surrounded by family at his home currently in Pine Island, MN. His long courageous battle with cancer allowed more time to cherish milestones and daily life together as family and friends. Phil was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 11th at Breckenridge Lutheran Church in Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service at church.

Firefighters rescue man from grain bin in western Minnesota

Tim Buth was unloading the bin, and the auger became plugged with crusted material, according to the Wilkin County Sheriff's Office. He entered the bin to dislodge the material, but the corn moved too fast, and he became trapped.
