Closure expected for two weeks starting April 28

Crews will be closing off the intersection of First Avenue and North Lawler Street to tear down a Mitchell building over the next few weeks.
The Mitchell Department of Public Works said starting Wednesday, April 28, the east half of the 100 block of First Avenue and the south half of the 100 block of North Lawler Street will be closed for two weeks for the demolition of the dilapidated building at 124 E. First Ave. The closure is in the interest of the public s safety, the city said.
