The Jackson County Commission approved a budget for 2022-23, which is about $265,000 higher than the current fiscal year.
The budget includes pay raises for full-time county employees.
In the March 9 Jackson County Commission meeting, Sheriff Ross Mellinger and 911 Director Montana Boggess asked for clarification of the process for finalizing and voting on the 2022-2023 budget.
Jackson County commissioners approved the hiring of four 911 employees, three part-time and one full-time.
Commissioners also heard a request from Hope House, a sober living facility in Ravenswood.
