Author Marion Amberg did an enormous amount of research locating and learning about each one. She organized the 50 states into seven regions Northeast, mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Mountain West, Southwest and Pacific West and then wrote a brief description of holy sites in each state, including addresses, websites and phone numbers that travelers can

This is an immense book on prayer, but don’t let the size of the volume intimidate you.
Each and every page is worth reading. Father James Martin is articulate and exceptionally well-informed about his topic, and he is gifted when it comes to discussing even the most esoteric theological topics in language the average person can understand.
