reporter: police say a tip led them to the suspected popular, 75 officers descended on a residential area, 25 miles northwest of atlanta. police went to one house and got permission to search a wooden shed behind the home. they noticed someone inside and determined it was the man they were looking for. maynard accused of fatally shooting a police officer. mister maynard position verbal commands, failed to comply with those verbal commands. one of the officers had a taser, prior to potato being deployed mister maynard had his hands behind his back, would not show his hand. at one point he did show his hand which contained an edged weapon was the second officer fired his firearm striking mister maynard.
