A man pleaded guilty before a Davidson County judge Tuesday to killing Missy Hamilton. He was sentenced to life in prison.
Brian Conley, 33, appeared before Judge Mark Fishburn and entered a plea agreement in the murder of Hamilton, a 50-year-old Nashville counselor, in December 2019. Hamilton was stabbed 73 times and sexually assaulted. Investigators described the murder as brutal.
Hamilton, of Smyrna, was found dead inside Crossroads Counseling in Madison, where she worked as the assistant director. The woman, raised in Mount Juliet, battled addiction, and a stint in jail ultimately led her to her calling: helping those who struggled with addiction to drugs and alcohol.
