CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - In the parking lot of Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, the Missouri Job Center is hosted a drive-through hiring event. “There’s always people looking to better themselves get a better job,” said Becky Murphy, Coordinator at the Missouri Job Center.” Organizers with the Missouri Job Center turned this church parking lot into a one-stop shop for people looking for work. Murphy said they put together 300 packets of information from local employers for this event.

(KFVS) - The Missouri Job Center in Sikeston is inviting the public to fill spots with six different companies later this week in a career fair. The event is open to anyone needing employment and will feature on-site interviews. Missouri Job Center of Sikeston Supervisor Lori Caldwell said this is a great opportunity as there will be more than 150 openings waiting to be filled. “This is an amazing time. We’ve never seen a time such as this where so many employers are looking to fill positions and openings that they have,” Caldwell said. “So this is a great time and opportunity for anyone that is looking to be employed.”

Drive-Thru Job Fair Thursday in Springfield To Feature 20 Area Employers

From 9:30 to 11:30 Thursday morning, job seekers can talk with local employers from the comfort of their own cars. The event will be held in the parking lot of The Missouri Job Center in Springfield.  Drivers stay in their vehicles, but they will need to bring copies of a resume.  Organizers also recommend applicants should avoid bringing any non-job seeker or pets in the car that might be distracting.  In a press release, The Missouri Job Center said now is a great time to apply since many employers are looking for help.
