Local health departments are feeling the strain of COVID-19, not only with declining ICU space in Missouri Hospitals, but with contact tracing.
Of those who were sick in Greene County during a two week period in November, only 87 percent were contacted for contact tracing. Of those, only 43 percent were fully investigated.
The health departments simply don’t have enough staff.
With Federal funding slowly running out, many local health departments are waiting and hoping they get more money for their resources.
