National First Responders Day is celebrated each year on Oct. 28. This year the Kirksville Women of Today recognized local first responders by providing cookies for them during the week. Members baked and assembled trays of cookies for the Adair County Ambulance District, Adair County 911 Dispatch, Adair County Sheriff’s Department, Air Evac Lifeteam, ATSU Safety and Security, Kirksville Fire Department, Kirksville Police Department, Missouri Conservation Department Game Warden and Truman Safety and Security.
