Missoula Man Arrested for His Eighth DUI, Third Felony Offense
On Wednesday, a Missoula Police Department Officer observed a vehicle fail to yield for a pedestrian that had entered the crosswalk and utilized the flashing pedestrian sign. Police Public Information Officer Lydia Arnold explains.
“An on duty detective in an unmarked car observed driving behavior that was dangerous to all of the vehicles on the road,” Arnold said. “After observing the vehicle fail to yield at a crosswalk with crossing pedestrians, the vehicle swerved in its lane and failed to stop at a stop light. A traffic stop was conducted. Responding officers made contact with the driver, 34-year-old Seth Reeb.”

Man Threatens Mental Health Center Employee With a Knife
Just before 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a Missoula Police Department Officer was dispatched to Winds of Change for an assault with a weapon. The caller said the suspect, 58-year-old Neil Mahle, charged an employee with a knife. Dispatch said Neil left the scene on his bike and was headed toward the Zip Trip gas station. Neil s wife, Lu, was with him and the caller was concerned for her safety. Police Public Information Officer Lydia Arnold explains.
“Neil Mahle is being held in the Missoula County Detention Center on a charge of assault with a weapon,” Arnold said. “Officers responded to Winds of Change at 1120 Cedar Street after staff had asked Neil to leave. Neil had been at Winds of Change and was being disorderly. Staff had advised Neil he was to leave for the day and Neil’s behavior escalated.”
At around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, a Missoula Police Department Officer was dispatched to the Walgreens located on North Reserve Street for a report of a male attempting to make a purchase with a check and identification that did not match the his physical appearance.
When the officer arrived, she made contact with the manager of the Walgreens who informed her that the male, later identified as 41-year-old Brent Giroux, had already left the store. The manager informed the officer that Giroux had attempted to purchase seemingly random items, including high dollar electric toothbrushes and several gift cards for a total of $888.43.
