1. Celebrate Migratory Bird Day
Families can celebrate Migratory Bird Day at 10:30 Saturday at Taylor Park, 900 E. Stephenson St., Freeport. Activities will include team nest building, obstacle courses, kite flying and snacks. 2. Admire area wildlife
The Northwest Illinois Audubon Society will host a visit to Mississippi Palisades State Park to observe signs of spring at 9 a.m. Saturday. The park is home to unusual wildflowers and birds. Participants will meet at the first parking lot inside the south entrance, 16327A state Route 84, Savanna. Those who wish to participate must confirm their attendance by calling 815-938-3204.
