New Online Courses Aimed at Battling Depression and Anxiety of Those Trapped at Sea
Charity Launches Two New e-Learning Modules
WORLDWIDE – By now everyone in the maritime industry must be aware that the constantly present mental stresses of working at sea, loneliness, absence from home and loved ones etc. have been amplified by the current pandemic.
One thing which can assist those trapped sometimes thousands of miles from their home countries is the now common use of internet courses and now two new e-learning modules have been introduced by the international welfare charity The Mission to Seafarers. The courses are an extension to the charity’s WeCare programme, originally launched in January 2019 and specifically aimed at tackling mental health problems facing those at sea.
