Block 7 is bounded by 4 and third street and mission bay boulevard. This first image is an aerial view from the northeast that shows the model that you saw and youve looked at it as weve passed it around. I wanted to point out the building is a lot of the buildings thats arranged around a larger Central Court yard. This is a view from the southwest looking at the building between the future family house this will be a landscape view of mid block passage. I have a few diagrams this one shes how transit rich this site is. Youll see the third street and Mission Shuttle and the diagram shows the stocks and the 22 is going to be relocated and its turn a
The parcel which youve heard about in the past. It includes units above ground retail and this is increased to one hundred. There will be a one hundred and 6 bicycle parking spaces. This is 3 hundred more spaces than the parking requirements. There will be open space areas. The project is very centralizing located for transit and spop spop. Youll have a stop flovr in front of the building and a 5 minute walk to a cal train and theyll be able to take advantage of the bart shuttle. When the project is open the new childrens park will be half a block away and will be up and running when the project opens it t its doors. I want to invite kevin heel review the design with you. Successfully in many ways working to transform nasa. I had previous to that worked for a grassroots organization. That was really interested in returning human space flight to more than just a handful of astronauts and nasa had sort of lost. Its way i think after the shuttle accidents when they didnt. Have the ability to get more people into space for lower costs more reliably. That was the goal of the shuttle. So coming back to nasa as the deputy administrator in the Obama Administration. I thought it was very natural goal to want to continue that transformation process and president elect obama happened to agree. So it says my quest because its a memoir, but its a lot of peoples quest for decades and thats why i wrote the book. Well, lets open that up for a minute. You say that nasa had lost its way. I mean thats sort of a big statement. What do you mean by that . And how did that happen . You know, were talking primarily here about human spaceflight at nasa many many things at nasa
