Officers who were pepper sprayed, one of them had to be taken to the hospital, all are expected to be okay. Police say they were forced to declare the protest a Public Safety hazard after demonstrators started using pepper spray and throwing bottles. Despite the violence, no one was arrested, the event was organized by a group called team save america, as Elissa Harrington reports, the leader of that group ended up in hospital. This is what they did to me, i am at the hospital. Reporter reida, the organizer of saturdays ali, posted a video of himself in a hospital bed, missing his front tooth shortly after he left the event, it was knocked out during a fight with counter protesters. He is with team save america, a conservative group. They held a rally at San Franciscos United Nations plaza to protest censorship. The conservative activists were outnumbered by hundreds of counter protesters, many wore all black, held antifascist signs and some carried pictures of black men and women kill
Power outages as fire conditions become more dangerous in the bay area. Hot temperatures, strong winds fueling new concerns about fires. Pg e is going preactive and planning for power outages. In just a few hours you could be one of the thousands of people in six bay area koubties slate to go dark. Highlighted in yellowen that map is where power safety shutoffs could happen. Where frustration is in the air. Reporter an estimated 4,100 pg e customers here in Alameda County could be affected by the latest rounds. Ive talked to a lot of people here tonight. Included in the red flag warning, its not just for some of the hills but now its also for the valleys and the north bay. Were also going to see that continuing for the diablo range, parts of the oakland hills, the santa cruz mountains. As our winds will increase today along with the hot temperatures that were going to see. Upper 80s and low 90s. Santa cruz will reach the low 80s and well see warm temperatures in San Francisco as well. Well talk more about when our winds will pick up and when were expecting Better Weather
