Coronavirus in Navi Mumbai: First two weeks of February sees 13 percent rise in active cases

In the first two weeks of February, a 13 percent surge in COVID 19 cases has been noticed under the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The active number of CPVID 19 cases that had come down below 800 has once again crossed 900 mark. The number of positive cases being reported per day has also seen a slight rise.
While under the Mission Begin Again, a number of services are opening and even common people have been allowed in the local train with time restrictions, more people are not stepping out of their homes. This has resulted in slight rise in the active cases in the city.

MUMBAI: Petrol price in the city breached the Rs 93-mark and was hiked to an all-time high of Rs 93.20 per litre on Thursday. Diesel rate also increased by 37 paise to a new all-time high of Rs 83.67 per litre at city petrol pumps.
The cost per km for petrol-driven cars in Mumbai during peak hour rush is now close to Rs 6. “We have to face traffic snarls during peak hour and now driving to office is expensive,” said Vikrant Bhat, who works in Bandra Kurla complex.
Across Maharashtra, more than 23 districts have petrol prices crossing Rs 94 for a litre. Parbhani has the highest petrol rate at Rs 95.39 followed by Nanded at Rs 95.22 per litre.

Mumbai, Feb 01: The Mumbai local trains on Monday resumed for all general public. Earlier, in October, women were allowed after a request from the state to the Railways Minister. On Friday, the announcement in this regard was made by Union railways minister Piyush Goyal after the Maharashtra government proposed to resume the services for all commuters.
Taking to Twitter, Goyal said, My dear Mumbai citizens, for the convenience of all of you, the Mumbai local train will be started from February 1.
The Western Railway s PRO has appealed to all passengers to follow the COVID-19 protocol when in the station or onboard the trains to combat the virus and ensure smooth operations of trains.
