ISLAMABAD (Dunya News/AFP) – The concerned authorities have decided to use Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) C-130 aircraft at the height of over 8,000 meters on the world’s second-highest mountain K2 for the search of missing mountaineers Muhammad Ali Sadpara, Jon Snorri and Juan Pablo Mohr.
According to details, the land operation to find the mountaineers has been suspended due to harsh weather conditions.
It is to be mentioned here that climbers John Snorri from Iceland, Juan Pablo Mohr from Chile and Muhammad Ali Sadpara from Pakistan had lost contact with base camp on February 5.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistani famous celebrities have expressed their hope for the safe return of the mountaineer Ali Sadpura and his companions who went missing during their K2 climb.
Actress Mansha Pasha has taken to social-networking website Twitter and posted, “Ali Sadpara may not return. But we can honor his memory by supporting, highlighting the achievements of all athletes in Pakistan, not just cricketers.”
“Let us not wait for them to leave us to realize their worth. Still praying for a miracle. May he return safely,” she added.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A special team has been formed on Sunday for the search of missing Pakistani mountaineer Ali Sadpara and his companions.
According to details, the rescue operation has been launched with the help of four local mountaineers while two helicopters of Pakistan Army are also taking part in the search.
Earlier, special assistant to the Prime Minister on overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari said that PM Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa were concerned and personally following all developments regarding the missing mountaineers.
Pakistan, Iceland FMs discuss issue of missing mountaineers

The foreign minister of Iceland appreciated the ongoing search and rescue operation.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi telephoned his Iceland counterpart Gudlaugur Thor Thórdarson and discussed the issue of missing Icelandic mountaineer John Snorri.
He apprised the Iceland Foreign Minister about the specific steps taken by the Pakistani authorities to search and rescue the missing mountaineers.
He assured that Pakistan will spare no effort and will extend all possible support in this regard.
The foreign minister of Iceland appreciated the ongoing search and rescue operation for John Snorri and other climbers by Pakistani authorities.
