A 27-year-old former Mashpee resident who disappeared in November has returned safely to her mother’s house.
Mykilee Driver had traveled from Mashpee to visit her mother, Zarahra Overton, in Portland, Oregon. She left Portland Nov. 12 and did not return to Mashpee. But on Feb. 6, she returned to her mother s home, Overton said.
“I’m relieved that she is safe,” Overton said.
Driver, who was diagnosed last year with psychosis, had a mental health episode before she disappeared in November, Overton previously told the Times. Overton had called the police, but Driver declined treatment and left in a Lyft.
Overton said in a phone interview Wednesday that Driver had gone to Los Angeles. She had lost her belongings, including her cellphone and wallet, and was unable to contact family, Overton said.
