The Enugu State Police Command says it arrested a young man who allegedly killed his mother and buried her body behind their house in Umuagu Inyi town in Oji River Local Government of the state. Daniel Ndukwe, spokesperson for the state police command, told BBC Igbo that they had started to investigate the crime committed by this man. Reports identified the man as Somadina Orji and his mother as Mrs Charity Orji. The President General of Umuagu Inyi, Mr. Anoliefo, told BBC Igbo that the incident happened on Sunday night, December 3, 2023.
