A SINGER and bingo hall employee from Barrow has been congratulated after her rendition of a classic musical theatre number nabbed her third place in an inaugural talent competition. Mary Patrick impressed the voting public with her performance of ‘On My Own’ from hit musical Les Misérables. The 23-year-old was performing in the final of Opera’s Got Talent, a competition held by Opera Bingo to spread a bit of cheer among staff members and the public while bingo halls remain closed. Ever since losing a baby in 2018, a West Norfolk woman has been raising awareness of miscarriages and support for the bereaved.
Jo Patrick, of St Germans, is an ambassador for Coping and Living with Miscarriage (CALM), and has launched a new fundraising campaign.
Alongside her partner Steve, Miss Patrick is encouraging people to take part in the âAKA Stepping Up For The MAâ challenge.

This challenges participants to complete 250,000 steps throughout January â the same as the number of pregnancies that are estimated to end in miscarriage in the UK each year.
