KABUL – A round of the Ambassadorial Meeting of the of the Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process (HoA-IP) co-chaired by the Deputy and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mirwais Nab and Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kabul Dr. Sharifi Sa di, was held with the attendence of the ambassadors of the of the Participating Countries of the HoA-IP at the Foreign Ministry s Stoore Palace. The purpose of this Ambassadorial Meeting was to discuss the necessary preparations for the 9th Ministerial Conference of the HoA-IP to be convened in March this year.
At the outset of the meeting, Mr. Nab expressed his gratitude for the condemnation of the Participating Countries, in regards to the recent terrorist attacks on the Afghan people, calling the Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process an important mechanism for strengthening regional cooperation and consensus as well as consolidating support for peace talks and stability in Afghanistan and the wider region.
KABUL – Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Mirwais Nab, met with Ambassador of India to Kabul, Mr. Rudrendra Tando, at the Storay Palace of the MoFA.
Referring to the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields, both sides placed emphasis on strengthening bilateral cooperation and the importance of regional consensus in support of the peace process. They also talked about preparations for the Ninth Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process, to be jointly hosted by Afghanistan and Tajikistan in the near future.
Stressing the significance of the Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process, the Indian Ambassador to Kabul, assured the Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister of his country’s participation in the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process.

Kabul (BNA) Deputy Political Minister and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mirwais Nab, met with Aleksandar Bodiroza, Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Afghanistan on Thursday afternoon, a MoFA statement said yesterday.
At the outset, Minster Nab thanked the United Nations Population Fund for its cooperation in Afghanistan and congratulated Bodiroza on his inauguration as the new representative for Afghanistan, and assured him of the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Bodiroza expressed his satisfaction with the start of his work, presented his credentials as a representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Afghanistan to Minister Nab, and explained the programs and projects of the United Nations Population Fund
