The technology group Wärtsilä today launches its next-generation grid balancing technology, designed to provide flexible grid capacity even in adverse weather
Power system modelling by the global technology group Wärtsilä has revealed that renewable-based power systems, backed by grid balancing engines and energy storage, can enable Southeast Asian countries to reach net zero by mid-century whilst cutting the levelised cost of electricity (LCOE) by over 20%, when taking into account likely future carbo
The technology group Wärtsilä has signed a full Operation and Maintenance (O&M) agreement with Termocabo S.A. The agreement covers a 48 MW power plant in the city of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, in the northeast of Brazil. The agreement was signed in April 2022, and has been in effect from 1 June.Wärtsilä had an earlier O&M agreement for the plant, which ran from 2002 until 2015.
