Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko gave the go-ahead to new
appointments in the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee and two district
executive committees as he announced personnel decisions.
International observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly have
discussed preparations for Belarus’ parliamentary and local elections
with senior members of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus, the chairs of the election commissions of Minsk and Minsk Oblast, BelTA learned from the Central Election Commission.
"The waiting list is crazy. People want to buy these cars. It is the job of the government and the minister to satisfy this demand come hell or high water. It is necessary to increase the output of cars as much as possible,” the head of state stressed.
The gross regional product of Minsk Oblast rose by 9.9% in January-November 2023, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Denis Kurlenko told a press conference.
“The preliminary results of 2023 show progress, as the GRP growth amounted to almost 10%. On the one hand, these are very big numbers. On the other hand, we need to understand that this is a recovery growth. We both could make up for the shortfall in 2022 and ensure growth in comparison with 2021. Average wage and budget revenue targets are all met. Therefore, the pace we have means also good results,” Aleksandr Turchin said.
